Scheduling a boudoir session is a big step and can feel overwhelming. The experience itself is so rewarding that it makes it worth the effort. To make it even easier, these boudoir FAQ’s can take some pressure off!

Boudoir FAQ’s

Do I need to know how to pose?

No. I will coach you every step of the way. From head to toe, I’ll show you how to stand, sit, lay, what to do with your hands, where to look and how to make facial expressions. It is so much fun you’ll feel like a supermodel!

Do you share my photos?

That is up to you. Your privacy is very important to me. Some of our clients want to share their photos because they are proud of the way they look and want to inspire other women to try boudoir. Others want their photos kept private. There is a release form we require if we are to share your images. If you don’t sign it, no problem, your pics will be for your eyes only!

What if I’m nervous in front of the camera?

Everyone is at the start. Don’t worry, boudoir is fun! After a few clicks of the shutter, you’ll be having a great time and the nerves will disappear! I promise!

Are my photos edited? What if I break out or have bruises or marks?

Every photo goes through a magazine quality edit. Your final images will be minus any temporary pimples, bumps, marks or bruises.

I’m plus sized, can you flatter all women?

Yes. Size doesn’t matter. With proper posing, lingerie, lighting and focus, you will feel like the Goddess you are!

Do you provide any outfits?

I will send you our free boudoir outfits guide when you schedule. I’m also available to talk on the phone if you have any questions or need guidance. The studio does have limited robes of lace and sheer, some body jewelry and sheets for implied nude poses. Other than those, you will need to provide your outfits.

What if I don’t know how to do my makeup?

Not a problem. Our luxury boudoir sessions include a professional hair & makeup artist. They’ll have you looking incredible!

Where is your studio located?

My home studio is on Lincoln Road in downtown Westminster, Maryland. There is free parallel parking.

When do you schedule shoots?

I prefer to shoot on weekday afternoons when my studio gets the best light. Depending on how busy I am, I will try to accommodate clients by fitting into their schedule.

How long does the shoot take?

Plan on 3 to 3.5 hours at the studio between your hair & makeup and photoshoot.

How do I place my order?

At your shoot we will set up a date for your photo reveal and ordering session. That usually happens about 2 weeks following your photoshoot. This is when you get to see and select your images to place your order.

What is the turn around time?

It generally takes 4 to 6 weeks for your album and prints to arrive. I recommend you book a session at least 8 weeks before you need your photos. Also remember that the studio books out three to six months in advance, so be sure to plan early!

If you are in a rush, you can still reach out. We may or may not be able to fit you in, but if not can recommend other photographers.

Can I bring a friend to the shoot?

You are welcome to bring a female friend with you. There are certain guidelines to make sure they don’t interfere with the session. Please let me know if you plan on bringing someone so I can prepare to make them comfortable while they are here!

How do I know what to bring?

I’ll send you a guide to help you prepare so you will know exactly what to have with you!

How much does it cost?

The luxury boudoir session which includes makeup, two hours of shoot time with 3-4 outfit changes, with photo editing and your photo reveal, is $495.00. Products are sold separately and pricing is subject to change. When you schedule, I will send you a current pricing menu.

Generally my clients spend between $1,200 and $5,000 – it really depends on how many images you want with what album or wall art.

Can I just get digitals?

Digital media can be easily corrupted and media formats constantly change. It is my policy to provide clients with full service printing of heirloom quality albums and gallery quality wall art. Printed boudoir art photography never goes out of style and can be viewed years down the road. Digitals can be purchased for any printed products you order.

What if I can’t afford what I want to purchase the day of the reveal?

We offer payment plans and there are financing options.

What if I’m not happy with my photos?

It hasn’t happened yet, but if it does, you are under no obligation to buy your photos after the shoot. We will keep them on file for 30 days before deleting them.

If for any reason you are unhappy, I would be more than willing to discuss what the reason is and if the problem can be corrected, will work with you to create a happy outcome.

I hope you’ve found these boudoir faq’s helpful. If you have any other questions regarding our boudoir photoshoots, please don’t hesitate to email or text and I will respond as quickly as possible.

I hope these answered your top of mind questions and that one day soon we can work together to release your inner Goddess!
