During consultations, the most commonly asked question is: What should I wear for my boudoir photoshoot? Should I wear lingerie? You see a lot of images of women in their lingerie on my website, and those of other boudoir photographers you may be considering. That doesn’t mean you have to wear lingerie for your boudoir shoot though.
My goal is to make you feel beautiful and capture your personality. I can only do that if you are comfortable, and every woman feels comfortable in different outfits.
My PDF magazine: 26 Perfect Boudoir Outfits & Ideas is available free for download. But even with those recommendations, it is important you wear outfits that make you feel sexy and reflect who you are.
If you aren’t comfortable with the idea of posing in lingerie, then your photos would reflect that. In that case, wear something else. There is no hard and fast rule that says you have to wear lingerie in your boudoir session.
The outfits you choose are an important part of the experience. Like most of my clients, you are probably nervous enough already. You don’t want worry about your outfits to add to that. And don’t worry, those nerves will disappear shortly after we start. When you see your images direct from the camera, you’ll realize you will rock your photoshoot!
