Tell Your Story With Boudoir

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. You’ll hear people say, “That photo tells a story …” Photographers and artists say, “Tell a story with your work.” Good art always tells a story or stirs emotions.

At my boudoir studio, I say, “Let’s tell your story with boudoir.”

What is your story?

The story of your natural beauty?
The story of your strength?
Your confidence being rediscovered?
Your sensuality?
Your sexuality?
Your love for someone?
Your love for yourself?
The release of your inner vixen, siren or Goddess?

Look at this set of three photos.

In the first, she is walking into the bedroom, slowly dropping her robe. In the second, she has dropped the robe and started to turn. In the third, she looks back as if to beckon the viewer as she goes to climb on the bed. If you look at these one at a time, each still tells a story of beauty, but together they create a story of sensual love for her partner. Some clients want three or four very different shots from each set. I always encourage them to consider the story aspect. Your boudoir album could just be a bunch of beautiful photos. Or it could be so much more, telling your story in a powerful and beautiful way. The choice is always yours, but I recommend you tell your story with boudoir!
